Reiki is directly translated to universal life force or divine energy. There are many variations of ‘what is reiki’ but my experience with it is that it is pure energy.
Using oxygen as a metaphor.. Reiki, like oxygen, is accessible to all. But some of us take in more, some less, depending on how we breath and how our body function. In vigorous activities, we require more oxygen than other times. Just like for more challenging times, Reiki is great to be an energy booster.
It’s like carrying oxygen tank when you dive or pumping in oxygen when you are climbing the mountain. Reiki doesn’t send you to the top of the mountain, but it may help make the process easier with ‘more oxygen’.
Reiki attunement of spaces is a process to make the space more peaceful, calming, relax and harmonious for us.
Some examples of events that Reiki can be used for your pets:
- General wellbeing maintenance (just like a regular spa/massage session! ;))
- Surgery (Before / During / After Surgery)
- After injuries and/or trauma (physical, emotional, mental)
- Discomfort (physical, emotional, mental)
- Seasonal allergies or sickness
- Chronic illness
- New space (eg. new house) that your fur baby will be going into
- Any event that causes may cause stress (relocation, change of owners, etc)
Reiki is great for healing, stress relief and relaxation. It also means that any issues that stem from stress eg. behavioral, skin, digestive, etc, Reiki can indirectly support in healing/correcting them by reducing stress. That said, it will of course be best to prevent/remove what causes the stress in the first place.
These are only some examples and there are various way to use the session for. If you are unsure, reach out to me!
Things to note before booking.
Remote
By default, the sessions are remote because every pet has different personalities and their reactions may vary on meeting new people. It may also depend on their mood that day. Therefore, a distanced session would be ideal and does not require your pet to be physically still for my hands to be on.
Comfortable and relaxing environment
As much as it is a distanced session, it is ideal that your pet is in a comfortable environment where it can relax, sleep, play etc if it wishes to. It does not need to be any special arrangement like bedtime, etc. It simply means that your dog is not at a daycare, park, or have visitors, kids or anyone trying to disturb or play with it.
After the session
You will be contacted after the session is done. I will share if anything comes up from the session. (Sometimes, we get messages from your pets to you during the session)
